Today I am sharing a fun little freebie with you as a sneak peek of an upcoming collection I have been working on called Vintage Circus. This collection has been such a joy to create because it combines whimsical carnival charm with soft vintage colors, aged textures, playful typography, and nostalgic circus elements.

Ideas for Using These Vintage Circus Elements

One of my favorite things about printable ephemera is how versatile it can be. Here are just a few ideas for using these pieces in your projects:

• Create layered journal clusters
• Decorate journal covers and spine pieces
• Make tuck spots and pockets
• Use on scrapbook layouts
• Add to tags and journal cards
• Create interactive flip-outs
• Embellish envelopes and happy mail
• Use in mini albums and folios
• Add to handmade cards and paper crafts

The aged carnival style gives these pieces such a cozy nostalgic feel, and they mix beautifully with lace, vintage papers, distress inks, and old book pages.

Printing Tips

For the best results, I recommend printing on:

• HP 28lb paper
• lightweight cardstock
• or your favorite printable journal paper
• Printer should be set to “best” quality

You can also lightly distress the edges with brown ink for an even more vintage appearance. If you enjoy adding texture, these look beautiful layered with stitching, lace, cheesecloth, or distressed fabrics.
