There are several types of inks, each suited for specific applications. Dye-based inks are vibrant and affordable, making them popular for everyday printing and crafting, though they may fade over time. Pigment-based inks offer long-lasting, water-resistant results, ideal for archival documents, fine art prints, and journaling. India ink, known for its deep black color and permanence, is commonly used in calligraphy and illustration. Alcohol inks are fast-drying and used in mixed media art for their ability to create bold, fluid effects on non-porous surfaces like glass and metal. Each ink type brings unique properties, allowing artists and crafters to choose the best medium for their projects.
